There is an artist within me and bringing out this gift has been a life long pursuit that intensified when I retired from a teaching career.

     It is pure joy to escape into the "zone" where light, color and shapes emerge. My work is in water-based media; watercolor, gouache, colored inks and acrylics. Japanese (rice) papers combined with the water media create  paintings that capture my imagination. Though my style is evolving as I experiment with new ideas my main stay is painterly/ impressionism.  The beauty of haiku poetry is the essence of personal interpretation and my mixed media art is open to your interpretation. I create art for my own self expression but it is my hope that you will be drawn to one of my paintings.
