Somehow I must figure a way to save a back up of all my work in the same format as my web page.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>All my life I charge in..... and then read the directions later, so I am familar with Big Opps'es. At what age will I learn? </div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>A&nbsp; thank you&nbsp;goes out to Dan and Zac for trying to help me recoop my stuff, I am sure they are thinking what has this old lady been smoking??</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Think I will make myself a cup of tea and think serene thoughts. </div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <img border="0" alt="" src="/admin/../resources/img/blog_img/181/SLACK_TIDE.jpg" width="350" height="250" /></div> Sun, 29 Aug 2010 13:48:15 CDT The BIG OOPS!! <div><span><br />-</span></div> <div>I goofed and deleted 95% of my paintings from my web site! I have no words to describe my state of mind except sort of like a panda in the head lights. </div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp; Please bear with me.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<img border="0" alt="" src="/admin/../resources/img/blog_img/181/Safari_panda_framed.jpg" width="350" height="420" />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </div> Wed, 25 Aug 2010 15:17:50 CDT Mission Accomplished! <h2>Twelve&nbsp;collage pieces&nbsp;completed for Calendart.</h2> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Step one was to present a framed art work to be juried in, whoo, made it into the Calendart event with <u>Damsel Fly</u>.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><img border="0" alt="" src="/admin/../resources/img/blog_img/181/CALENDART_DANSEL_FLY.jpg" width="155" height="109" />&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp; I decided to take the road less traveled and invent "The Year of the Bug", also I wanted to use my newely learned paste paper technique.&nbsp; Each selected&nbsp;artist then had to&nbsp;create 12 more 5x7 pictures to be used in the fundraiser calendar. I created a baker's dozen just case one was really not up to my high whimsical standards. It was fun and time consuming but Art Mundo is worth the effort. </div> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Now that you have seen the first picture I will show you the last one titled <u>House Fly</u>. Subtitled; "Sometimes you get the bug and sometimes the bug gets you"</div> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <img border="0" alt="" src="/admin/../resources/img/blog_img/181/House_fly.jpg" width="300" height="206" /></div> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Wish you could see the iridescence of the fly's wings and isn't that some chameleon?</div> <blockquote style="margin-right: 0px" dir="ltr"> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Next I will try a plaster collage technique that I read about in the newest issue of Cloth Paper Scissors. </div></blockquote> Sun, 25 Jul 2010 11:31:20 CDT Experimenting with Paste Paper <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I am trying to follow up with the things I learned at my Paste Paper Workshop. I think I have all the supplies; watercolor paper, wall paper paste, acrylic paints and a big surface to work on. No&nbsp;project in mind yet, I just want to freely make different color and designs on my paste papers. </div> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; My first attempts looks like this:</div> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <img border="0" alt="" src="/admin/../resources/img/blog_img/181/Pp_3.jpg" width="100" height="69" />&nbsp; <img style="width: 113px; height: 91px" border="0" alt="" src="/admin/../resources/img/blog_img/181/Drying__pp.jpg" width="113" longdesc="DRYING PP" height="91" />&nbsp; <img style="width: 101px; height: 52px" border="0" alt="" src="/admin/../resources/img/blog_img/181/2nd_color_pp.jpg" width="101" height="52" /></div> <div>After they dried I&nbsp; in added&nbsp;more paste mixture with a contrasting or interesting color and pulled textures through them.&nbsp; Wall paper paste was used on my first papers but&nbsp;it was a bit messy.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp; The teacher used&nbsp;Floetrol as the paste medium so I found that at Lowe's and will try it today. &nbsp; The Floetrol was easier to use and less mess.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </div> <div>&nbsp;<img style="width: 93px; height: 62px" border="0" alt="" src="/admin/../resources/img/blog_img/181/Pp_2nd_layers.jpg" width="93" height="62" />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;My next task is to group my papers in piles that I think would be attractive in my different projects.&nbsp;Art Mundo's Calendarart is my first&nbsp;challenge that I will try using my&nbsp;new papers. When I complete a few I will show you the results. &nbsp; </div> Sat, 15 May 2010 18:47:57 CDT My latest workshop; Paste Paper Collage <div><img style="width: 216px; height: 276px" border="0" alt="" align="top" src="/admin/../resources/img/blog_img/181/Cool_dude.jpg" width="216" height="276" />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; What a delightful day spent learning Paste Paper Collage. I took a workshop at Art Mundo from Ginny Piech Street and found it; as Ginny would say..."Way Cool!". This will be my next artistic adventure because I got that creative urgency that says try this, try it now! Anyway here is my first attempt and I call it Cool Dude. I would love some feedback. </div> Fri, 16 Apr 2010 17:02:04 CDT
